A Rite of Passage

Jamie is on vacation! We had to can our planned Colorado vacation when we realized Sarah in a car seat for any extended length of time (i.e. more than 15 minutes) would just mean misery for us all. Soooo....what to do?

Let's shoot off some rockets! Daddy shared lots of happy boyhood memories with us while we readied the rocket for launch. I know the video looks like we just randomly shot our rocket off in a parking lot, but we're actually right next to a park. Jamie very accurately predicted which way the rocket would go, so we launched in the parking lot and chased after it in the park (much better than vice versa!)

It's the end of the world as we know it... OK, I did sign off on this, but 99% of the credit & blame goes to Daddy and the boys. Their new hairdos were a huge hit at school. We draw looks and comments everywhere we go, and yes, we do hairspray them green and blue on occasion. I am spending at least 3 times more time on the boy's hair than on my own!?!

An unexpected side benefit for James & Eli: I find it hard to keep a straight face when I discipline. They look so goofy I crack up.

My favorite comment so far: "You must have a totally cool Mom!"
(They actually have a totally cool dad)

Beauty and the beach

Sarah thought the ocean was just a great big bath tub. She wanted to dive right in!

Trip to Georgia

Lots of beach fun during our quick visit to Saint Simons Island! This tent provided us lots of shade - but also shelter during an unexpected rain shower!

All the kiddos on the beach. Not a great shot of the sand castle, but it was fantastic. They worked so hard to try and save it from the waves :)
